VALUES & ETHOS
At St. Michael's Community Academy we hold the firm belief that everyone has the potential to achieve and succeed. In our school we work hard to do “Our best, always.” From the youngest nursery child to the oldest member of staff, everyone is encouraged to learn, grow and develop to reach their full potential, and the contribution of all is valued.
Our school ethos is underpinned by our three core values, Courtesy, Consideration and Respect. These values are universal, and are applicable to individuals of any background. These ideals sit hand in hand with the core British Values, ensuring our children develop into well rounded, polite and hardworking young Citizens.
Our Academy aims to serve our community by an providing education of the highest quality, whilst developing our pupils' Spiritual. Moral, Social and Cultural knowledge and understanding . We seek to encourage an appreciation of fundamental British values through the experiences we offer to all our pupils. We welcome diversity and have high expectations for everyone to behave with mutual respect for each other regardless of gender, race, religion or economic background. We understand the challenges facing our young learners and do all we can to create a culture of understanding, empathy and safety whilst encouraging everyone to uphold the school values.
