Pupil Premium Funding at St Michael’s Community Academy
The pupil premium grant is an allocation of funding provided to schools to:
- Raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils and close the gap with their peers
- Support children and young people with parents in the regular armed forces
Pupils who are eligible for the funding include those entitled to free school meals, those looked after by the local authority, children who have ceased to be looked after by a local authority because of adoption, a special guardianship order, child arrangements order or a residence order and children of armed forces personnel.
All school are required to report on the amount of funding received, how the funding is allocated and the impact of the funding on the eligible pupils.
